Abstract

Hydraulic jack permanently fastened to a vehicle arranged so that to lift the vehicle one hydraulic motor (1, 2) connected through at least one electromagnetic distributor (7) to a hydraulic pump (5) or power assisted steering (10) is fastened to each lateral side of the vehicle.

Description

HYDRAULIC JACK PERMANENTLY CONNECTED TO VEHICLE
Field of the Art
The invention relates to a hydraulic jack permanently connected to a vehicle and controlled by electromagnetic distributors. The objective of this invention is to avoid physical stress in actions that require immediate lifting of the vehicle not considering its actual weight or surface state, e.g. if a tyre has to be exchanged, in case of repairs of the bottom of the vehicle etc.
State of the Art
The known models of jacks for automobiles are portable and manually controlled hand jacks that can be often dangerous if a vehicle is lifted, especially on an uneven or declined surface, on slope and in the night. Such jacks do not have any drive, that would remove the physical stress of the operator during the manipulation with such jack..
Another disadvantage is that the hand jacks deform the bodywork thresholds and harm anticorrosive coatings in the bodywork cavities.
A frequent phenomenon of the hydraulic jacks are untight sealing rings, leakage of hydraulic liquid to the road etc. A general problem of jacks is their big weight and that they are bulky, especially in case of buses and trucks where two jacks have to be used simultaneously, e.g. if a flat tyre has to be exchanged. Subject of the invention
The disadvantages and drawbacks are avoided in case of the hydraulic jack permanently fastened to a vehicle, preferably motor vehicle according to the invention characterized in that to lift the vehicle one hydraulic motor connected through at least one electromagnetic distributor to a hydraulic pump or power assisted steering is fastened to each lateral side of the vehicle.
In case of vehicles that do not have their own hydraulic pump of a power assisted steering a stationary hydraulic jack is fastened so that at each external side of a wheel arch a holder with a linear hydraulic motor is mounted by screws. The hydraulic motors are provided with or connected to hydraulic locks that reliably guard the whole process of automobile lifting and entirely exclude lowering of the automobile in case of a hydraulic circuit failure. The circuit includes a hydraulic pump driven e.g. by a V-belt of an alternator. In case of vehicles having their own power assisted steering the hydraulic jack is arranged so that in the vicinity of the external side of the wheel arches holders of the hydraulic motors are arranged on the axles and the hydraulic motors are fastened by means of sleeves. The hydraulic motors are provided with internal hydraulic locks that guard the process of automobile lifting. Pressure for the lifting of such cars is taken form the power assisted steering and is brought to an independent valve which when opened makes possible to start operation of the electromagnetic distributor.
The invention substantially decreases the manual work necessary to lift and lower a vehicle, especially outside a workshop. Brief Description of the Drawings
The invention is further illustrated by drawings where Figure 1 shows a side view of the mechanism that puts the hydraulic pump in operation by means of the hand brake lever, Figure 2 is an axonometric view of the arrangement of hydraulic elements on a vehicle, Figure 3 is the ground view of the hydraulic circuit with a power assisted steering and where hose quick couplers are used to connect hydraulic system of a truck with semi-trailer.
Preferred Embodiment of the Invention
According to Figure 1 and 2 a hand brake lever 22 is situated in the floor 12 of the vehicle and provided with an adjusting screw ϋ, cable 23 connected to Bowden £ which is terminated by the holder 14 of the cable 1L. This holder 14. is fastened to the flange 16. of the hydraulic pump .5 mounted on the pin 17 and suspended on the spring 13. In the engine compartment 5_ the hydraulic liquid storage tank 4 is placed. Further, the circuit includes over-pressure valve 6_ , electromagnetic distributors 7_, linear hydraulic motor 1 with the hydraulic lock 3 and bearing plate 8..
According to Figure 3 the equipment consists of the linear hydraulic motors , 2 interconnected with the hydraulic locks 3.. The locks 3 are connected to the electromagnetic distributors 7 interconnected with the tank 4 for delivery of the hydraulic liquid by means of the hydraulic pump 5..
According to Figure 4 the equipment is alternatively formed by a power assisted steering 10. which transfers hydraulic liquid to and from the main valve lj8. Through the main valve 18. the electromagnetic distributors 7 are filled. The electromagnetic distributors 1_ are connected to the linear hydraulic motors 1 , 2 provided with a piston rod 1£ having tilting foot 20. A part of the hydraulic motors 1, 2 are the hydraulic locks 3..
In case of semi-trailers the hydraulic circuit of the motor vehicle is connected by a hose quick coupler 21 with a not shown semi-trailer. Every electromagnetic distributor 7_ can be connected to one or a group of linear hydromoτors i, 2.
Industrial Applications
The hydraulic jack according to the invention can be used in any type of a passenger car, trucks, buses and semi-trailers. The hydraulic jack is an .advantage in auto¬ mobiles where a rapid exchange of tyres is necessary owing to time reasons, e.g. in case of ambulance cars, ambulance cars of the emergency health service, fire-fighting and police cars. Further, in case of vehicles where immediate lifting is difficult and dangerous owing to their big weight and difficult access to the places where the portable lifting device is placed, e.g. in case of buses, lorries or semi-trailers.

Claims

Claims
1. Hydraulic jack permanently fastened to a vehicle, characterized in that to lift the vehicle one hydraulic motor (1, 2) connected through at least one electro¬ magnetic distributor (7) to a hydraulic pump (5) or power assisted steering (10) is fastened to each lateral side of the vehicle.
2. Hydraulic jack according to claim 1 characterized in that a linear hydraulic motor (1, 2) is arranged at each wheel of the vehicle.
3. Hydraulic jack according to claim 1 characterized in that the electromagnetic distributors (7) are connected each to one or a group of linear hydraulic motors (1, 2) and are provided with external or internal hydraulic locks (3) .
4. Hydraulic jack according to claim 1 with a flexible mounting of the hydraulic pump characterized in that the hydraulic pump (5) is out of operation during the running of the vehicle.
5. Hydraulic jack according to claim 4 characterized in that the hydraulic pump (5) can be put into operation only if the vehicle is not running.
6. Hydraulic jack according to claim 5 characterized in that such vehicle can not be stolen in spite of a manipulation with its hydraulic circuit.
7. Hydraulic jack according to claim 5 characterized in that the hydraulic locks (3) are used.
8. Hydraulic jack according to claims 4 and 5, characterized in that the vehicle can be lifted and again lowered by pushing the corresponding push button in the dash board for driver.
9. Hydraulic jack according to claim 8 characterized in that it makes possible to lift independently the front or the back part of the vehicle or the same vehicle at the same time or each wheel independently.
10. Hydraulic jack according to point 1 characterized in that its electromagnetic valves operate with the voltage 12 V.
