  • Ribs or bars of the kind comprised in the pump according to the invention are known p e r s e. Up to now they have been inserted into seal housings or casings of pumps for fluids containing particles of an abrasive kind, e.g. sand, i.e. not in pumps for fluids containing more or less gas, such as paper pulp. The purpose of the ribs has been to break a rotating ring of particles, which comes into existence in the seal housing and may cause harmful wear thereof and/or of the seals (the plane seal).

Abstract

L'invention se rapporte à une pompe centrifuge et à son procédé de fonctionnement. Afin de permettre une désaération améliorée, la pompe se caractérise par une combinaison d'au moins une nervure (7) qui s'étend de manière sensiblement parallèle à l'arbre (8) de la roue de pompe, et qui est placée sur la surface interne orientée vers l'arbre, d'un couvercle de carter de pompe, d'une chambre d'étanchéité ou analogue (1), et d'une roue de pompe (4) qui comprend au moins une ouverture traversante (6) plus proche de l'arbre de la roue de pompe que ladite nervure. La pompe décrite ci-dessus fonctionne de telle manière qu'une surpression est maintenue sur le côté arrière de la roue de pompe, orienté vers la chambre d'étanchéité.
