Abstract

Mécanisme servant à faire tourner des boîtes en carton et devant s'associer à un transporteur (B) pour boîtes (E). Il comporte un élément entraîné sans fin (A) situé dans un plan parallèle à la partie avançante du transporteur (B), une partie d'avance (C) de l'élément entraîné (A) étant située le long de la partie avançante du transporteur; un dispositif assurant l'entraînement dudit élément entraîné de telle sorte que sa partie d'avance suive la même direction que la partie avançante du transporteur, mais que sa vitesse soit légèrement inférieure à celle de ladite partie avançante; et une série de talons (D) portés par l'élément entraîné (A) et adaptés pour faire saillie à partir de la partie d'avance de ce dernier et pour se placer sur la trajectoire des boîtes (E) situées sur le transporteur (B). Ainsi, un talon (D1) fixé à la partie d'avance de l'élément entraîné entre en prise avec le coin antérieur proche d'une boîte (E1) et provoque une rotation de celle-ci autour dudit talon puisque la vitesse du transporteur (B) et celle de l'élément entraîné diffèrent. La partie d'avance (C) de l'élément entraîné est guidée de telle sorte qu'elle soit courbée en direction de la partie de retour de manière à permettre un certain déplacement dans le sens latéral du coin d'une boîte (E2) butant contre un talon (D) à mesure que ladite boîte tourne autour de son centre de gravité, lequel avance sur le transporteur (B) en suivant une ligne sensiblement droite (H). Le degré de courbure est tel que le centre de gravité (G) de chaque boîte (E) ne se déplace pas dans le sens latéral contraire au-delà de la ligne (J) suivie par le centre de gravité après l'achèvement de la rotation.
