Abstract

Un procédé d'usinage électrochimique d'une pièce (10) composée d'un matériau électroconducteur, servant à arrondir un bord de la pièce, consiste a) à utiliser un outil cathodique (28) composé d'une partie cathodique (30) placée en sandwich entre deux parties anodiques (32) et séparée de celles-ci par une isolation (34), b) à placer l'outil de façon contiguë à la pièce (10) mais séparée de celle-ci de sorte que la partie cathodique est positionnée de manière centrale au-dessus du bord (36) de la pièce devant être arrondi et que les parties anodiques font face à des côtés opposés du bord, c) à faire s'écouler un électrolyte entre l'outil et la pièce, d) à appliquer une tension cathodique à la partie cathodique, e) à appliquer des tensions anodiques présélectionnées simultanément à la pièce et aux parties anodiques de sorte que des points zéro (38, 40) de champ électrique entre l'outil cathodique et la pièce se situent de chaque côté du bord à arrondir, et f) à varier le champ électrique entre l'outil et la pièce de façon à déplacer les points zéro dans le champ électrique les uns par rapport aux autres et par rapport au bord de la pièce afin d'assurer une répartition d'énergie globale sur ledit bord et de produire le rayon requis.
