Abstract

The invention relates to the polygraphic industry. The knife is shaped as a plate (4) with teeth (5) provided with cutting edges (6) and has the form of a non-isosceles triangle. The longer side (7) of the plate (4) is inclined at an acute angle in the direction of movement of the knife (1) in relation to the ream (2), the teeth (5) are located on that side (7) and have two sides (8 and 9) of different lengths, the cutting edges (6) of the teeth (5) being located on their longer sides (8). Most sucessfully the invention may be used for cutting of inner books. The invention may also be used for cutting of non-metallic sheet material.
