Abstract

Pour réduire la détérioration des tissus périphériques lorsqu'on détruit certains tissus, par exemple, pour ne pas endommager la paroi capsulaire quand on enlève le cristallin lors d'une opération de la cataracte ou pour ne pas endommager les parois d'une artère ou d'une veine lors d'une opération chirurgicale de dérivation pendant qu'on libère l'artère ou la veine devant être transplantée, on pratique une incision pour introduire un instrument rotatif de fragmentation (10) qui détecte les différences des surfaces des tissus, et pourvu d'une partie de lame (14). Ladite partie de lame (14) comprend des lames (17A et 17B) qui sont chacune fixées sur un arbre (18) tubulaire rotatif. L'instrument (10) fragmente les tissus et permet leur aspiration sans endommager la paroi périphérique, grâce à des surfaces de fragmentation comprenant un matériau ayant une plus forte inertie mais dont la vitesse de déplacement et la dimension des ouvertures entre les lames (17A et 17B) sont telles que plus on écarte de la zone de fragmentation les tissus internes les plus souples et les plus lisses et ayant la masse la plus faible, plus on fragmente les tissus les plus rugueux, les moins souples et ayant la masse la plus élevée.
