Abstract

On a obtenu deux gènes purifiés et isolés du type cryI à partir d'une nouvelle souche B.t.. L'un des gènes est désigné cryIF (SEQ ID NO:1) et possède une séquence de base nucléotidique codant pour la séquence d'aminoacides représentée par la figure 1. La protéine cristalline à 134 kDa, désignée CryIF (SEQ ID NO:2) et produite par ce gène est toxique pour les larves térébrantes du maïs européennes et d'autres insectes lépidoptères. Le second gène est désigné cryIX et produit une protéine cristalline d'environ 81 kDa et désignée CryIX qui est également toxique pour les insectes lépidoptères.
