Abstract

L'invention se rapporte à une nouvelle forme de tunnel de traversée qui nécessite des voies d'accès plus courtes et qui est moins cher à construire que les tunnels existants. L'invention utilise des unités de tunnel qui sont immergées, tout en étant soutenues sur des chevalets (2), lesquels sont maintenus au-dessus du fond marin par des piliers appropriés (3), à une profondeur suffisante pour ne pas gêner la navigation. Les éléments de tunnel immergés (14) sont fixés en position au moyen de flotteurs et sont assujettis par des tirants ou des pitons (15) aux chevalets (2). Ces éléments de tunnel sont ensuite assemblés au tunnel creusé pour former une traversée sous l'eau.
