  • the pressure device 1 may be of any suitable type that exerts a pressure force between the side member and the support leg to rotate the support leg outwards, and a gas damper which has a built-in dampening effect is particularly well suited. Such a gas damper has the effect that the outward rotation of the support leg takes place rapidly, yet with a controlled and dampened motion.
  • the rotational axis 4 determines the direction in which the support leg 6 moves.

Abstract

Une échelle en contact à quatre points avec la surface d'appui comprend des échelons (5), des organes latéraux ou des longerons (8) et des pieds de support (6) fixés, à une extrémité, sur les organes latéraux respectifs (8) pour permettre un mouvement pivotant depuis ceux-ci vers l'extérieur. Chaque pied de support (6) se déplie rapidement et de façon indépendante à l'aide de moyens de pression (1) agissant entre le longeron (8) et ledit pied (6). L'échelle peut être de tout genre mais est particulièrement appropriée au sauvetage où la vitesse est de toute importance.
