Abstract

Détecteurs d'impact destinés à détecter des impacts frontaux et latéraux, et stratégies d'utilisation correspondantes. On a pu montrer la nécessité de détecteurs sensibles à la vitesse ou amortis. Pour certaines applications, les détecteurs à amortissement inertiel, dont la force d'amortissement est proportionnelle au carré de la vitesse, sont préférables. Dans d'autres cas, il faudra un détecteur amorti visqueux et, dans quelques cas, un détecteur à masse à ressort non amorti suffira. Ces détecteurs peuvent être en plastique et avoir la forme de boîtiers courts. Dans un mode de réalisation préféré de l'invention, une masse oscillante pivotant par rapport à un boîtier (14, 15, 16) sert de masse de détection. Sont décrites plusieurs géométries pour la masse et pour le boîtier, qui ont pour objet de rendre ces détecteurs plus efficaces. Les détecteurs à masse en clapet sont utiles pour détecter des impacts frontaux et latéraux, aussi bien en tant que détecteurs principaux qu'en tant que détecteurs de mise en vigilance à un ou deux contacts. L'invention porte en outre sur un procédé pour fabriquer ces détecteurs, où les contacts (17, 18) subissent un traitement pour adhérer au plastique et sont ensuite moulés avec les autres parties en plastique (15, 16) des détecteurs. Ces parties sont ensuite soudées pour former une partie interne hermétiquement close du détecteur.
