Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte à un lanterneau qui peut comporter un vitrage du type en forme de dôme ou du type plat (16, 18) et qui est conçu pour être installé dans l'ouverture d'un toit ou similaire. Un tel lanterneau comprend une structure de corniche périphérique qui peut être constituée d'une structure de base (14) et d'une structure à lames active (20). Un organe de retenue (22) est utilisé pour fixer la couverture du lanterneau sur la structure de corniche. La structure de corniche est de préférence construite à partir d'un matériau plastique rigide ayant des propriétés de résistance aux températures élevées. Une garniture (25) pour vitrage est disposée entre l'organe de retenue et la structure de corniche pour assurer le positionnement et la protection du bord du vitrage. La garniture pour le vitrage est également destinée à recevoir un boulon de fixation (56) et est dimensionnée de façon à permettre le réglage du serrage de l'organe de retenue contre le vitrage. Un joint d'étanchéité (64) est conçu solidaire avec la structure et est disposé, dans un mode de réalisation, entre des sections de la structure et dans un autre mode de réalisation, contre le vitrage du lanterneau.
