Abstract
Alarm system for filler caps especially for automobiles for use when refuelling the vehicle and integrated as a part of the fuel pump or used in combination therewith. During refuelling the cap is placed in a cap holder which forms part of a recording device. The attendant is reminded to replace the cap after filling the fuel tank by some kind of signal if the cap is not removed from the cap holder. The filling operation may be actuated to start only when the cap is placed in the holder.
Description
Gasoline Filling Station With Tank Cap-alarm
The purpose of the enclosed invention is to show an alarm-arrangment for gasoline tank cap, specially for cars for use under the filling of gasoline.
Hitherto there is only known alarm-arrangments for gasoline tank cap, which only has been an integrated part of the car itself, or as an eksample described in
U.S. patent-description no. 4.010.967.
The disadvantages at this known american system is, that it only can be used of cars with the questioned mounted alarm tank cap. Other cars with normally gasoline tank caps have had not use or good of this alarm.
Furthermore the american system demand, that every tank caps would be rather expensive according to normally tank caps, and that it would be sencibled both regarding to the single servicing of the custmore of the tank caps, and under this as an eksample changing of bubls and batteries and frequently chech on the work of the system and so on. Vith the enclosed invention, then should abovementioned disadvantages be minimied and bettered. As primary all cai-drivers now can use the mentioned invention and the integrated tank cap-alarm.
The system constist of an alarm-arrangment, which is an integrated part of the gasoline stander-unit, or a combination for this purpose. As an example one could think an embodyment where, -when one are going to fill up gasoline, then is the gasoline thank cup be placed into a leaving hooker unit, which is Integrated with the gasoline stander unit itself. And this placing or mounting is then be registered, ideal possibly via some electronic. When one the are finished with filling up gasoline, then one could placed the the filling handle back again on the filling stander unit. And if one, as an example, then after some few seconds forget to take the tank cap from the filling stander unit again, then would there be started an alarm. Idel possibly via a voice, which say " Please, -rember Your tank cap". Or the alarm could as an example be a bussing sound, perhaps combined with a flicking light.
As an extension of the system, then one can integrated an index-arrangment so that the filling of gasoline only first can be done, when the gasoline tank cap is mounted in the alarm hooker.
The system could also be combined such a way that the servicing personnel of the filling station itself can registered that one have forgotten his tank cap. And they can then do attention to this.
The invention can be made in a lot of variants, where the permanent dialog of the tank cap has been made via the gasoline stander unit or in combination for this.
An example on an embodyment shall after this be explained nearer under reference to the drawing, where
Fig.1 shows an example on a hooker for a tank cap, and
Fig.2 shows a filling gasoline stander unit with integrated hooker with alarm-arrangment, and
Fig.3 shows a vertical as a horisontal hooker alarm- arrangment, and Fig.4 shows an embodyment of, how an alarm-hooker possibly can tip for alarm activating possibly via a microswits, and where
Fig.5 shows an alternative embodyment, where the detecting of the placed tank cap would be detected via as an example a light dector.
Fig.1 shows an embodyment on an alarm-hooker (1) with placed tank cap (2).
Fig.2 shows an gasoline stander unit (3) with integrated "resting"-hooking (1) with an alarm- arrangment (1) , (4) and (5) here showed as a loudspeaker arrangment (5).
Fig.3 shows in a vertical (1') as a horisontal (1) alarm hooker arrangment (1 and 1'). The arrangment can either be firmed, or the alarm hooker can be revolvering on the gasoline filling stander itself (3). Fig.4 shows an embodyment of how the alarm hooker (1) can tip (A) and (B) for activating of the alarm, possibly via microswitsch or the like arrangment.
Fig.5 shows an alternative embodyment, where the detecting of the placed tank cap (1) would be detected via as an example a light detector (6).
