  • the present invention relates to a pallet with a supporting wooden or plastic top portion and a bottom portion comprising parallel supporting rails attached to said top portion.
  • Wooden pallets have the drawback that they are rather heavy due to the required stability and are therefore difficult to handle. It has been tried to reduce the weight of pallets by manufac ⁇ turing them in metal. Such metal pallets in fact have a lower weight than wooden pallets, however, they are also very ex ⁇ pensive, which has led to a limited utilization of such metal pallets.
  • An object of the present invention is to provide a new type of pallet, in which metal is used in a more economical way to reduce the weight of the pallet.

Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte à une palette comprenant une partie supérieure de support en bois ou en plastique et une partie inférieure composée de rails de support (20) parallèles entre eux et fixés à la partie supérieure. La présente invention se caractérise en ce que chaque rail de support (20) comporte un profilé en U métallique supérieur et inférieur (22; 24), dont les branches se font face entre elles. Chaque rail de support comprend en outre des montants de support (30) fixés aux profilés en U et comportant des plaques métalliques courbées en forme de U, dont les parties centrales s'étendent entre les profilés en U (22; 24) et dont les branches sont fixées aux branches des profilés en U (22; 24). En outre, des blocs de bois ayant une épaisseur supérieure à la largeur des branches du profilé en U supérieur (22) sont placés entre ces branches dans les régions du rail de support destinées à être levées par des fourches élévatrices. Les branches des profilés en U inférieurs sont en outre courbées vers l'intérieur dans les mêmes régions.
