Abstract
Dans un procédé de microdilution accélérée permettant de déterminer la sensibilité d'une bactérie oxyphilique à un antibiotique, on soumet un aliquot de régulation positive contenant la bactérie sans l'antibiotique ainsi que les aliquots de test contenant la bactérie et augmentant les concentrations de l'antibiotique, à une incubation préparatoire pendant un moment suffisant pour que l'antibiotique agisse sur les cellules bactériennes et utilise l'oxygène se trouvant dans celles-ci. On ajoute une quantité prédéterminée d'oxygène aux aliquots, on procède à une seconde incubation jusqu'à ce que la teneur en oxygène de l'aliquot de régulation positive soit réduite d'au moins 50 %, puis on détermine quantitativement la teneur en oxygène de la série servant de mesure de la sensibilité à un antibiotique.
