Abstract

The device described is characterized in that, fixed essentially to the waist of the skier, pressing on his abdomen, it comprises a recess (1) in which is inserted, during climbing, the disk located at the end of the teleski bar. Said device is furthermore characterized in that it comprises, on its lower front wall, an opening (5) having a dimension at least equal to that of the diameter of the disk of the bar, and on its rear wall, a means such as vertical grooves (3), designed to hold the belt (4), or harness, ensuring its securing to the skier's waist.

Description

DEVICE PROVIDING THE SOLIDARIZATION OF A SKIER WITH A TELESKI POLE.

The invention relates to a device ensuring, during the ascent, the attachment of a skier to a ski lift pole.

In known practice, the skier positions the rod of the ski lift pole between his legs (kept tight), the disc, located at the lower end of said pole, coming to bear on the buttocks of the skier.

This practice, which already has drawbacks in the use of traditional alpine skis, particularly appreciated by beginners, sees new drawbacks appearing with the marketing of new equipment such as:

- monoski: requiring the use of a snow skate;

- snowboarding: requiring skill and effort during the climb.

The object of the present invention is in particular to remedy these various drawbacks and to this end relates to a device ensuring the attachment of a skier to a ski-lift pole, characterized in that, fixed substantially to the size of the skier, in support on his abdomen, it has a housing in which is inserted, during the climb, the disc located at the end of the pole of the ski lift. Said device is further characterized in that it comprises, on its lower front wall, an opening of dimension at least equal to that of the diameter of the disc of the pole, and on its rear wall, a means, such as vertical grooves, intended to hold the belt or the harness, ensuring its attachment to the waist of the skier.

The advantages obtained thanks to the invention consist essentially: - in allowing the use, under good conditions, of the new equipment (monoski, snowboard);

- to improve the balance of the skier, more particularly the beginner;

- to increase the safety of the skier: just let go of the hand and the "device-pole" separation is immediate. - A cavity 1, of fraction-cylindrical shape with rounded truncated-conical edges, intended to accommodate the disc 7 of the pole 6 of the ski lift; it is closed in the upper part and open in the lower part so as to allow the passage of the disc; its internal dimensions are at least equal to those of the pole disk and its opening 5, made on the lower front wall, is of dimension at least equal to that of the diameter of the pole disk; - In the area of its axis 2, on its front wall, a cut in the shape of "U" allowing the fitting of the rod 6 of the pole;

- On its rear wall, a means, such as two pairs of vertical grooves 3, intended to hold the belt 4, or the harness, ensuring the fixing of said device to the waist of the skier; the vertical grooves 3 are located above the axis 2 of said device to allow its easy tilting, in other words the immediate release of the disc, when the pole is no longer held by the skier.

The rear wall of the device is larger than the front wall to obtain better support on the skier's abdomen. Throughout the climb, the skier holds the pole in its housing with one hand and with light pressure. When the skier has arrived at his destination, the simple fact of removing said pressure is sufficient to déso¬ lidariser the disk of the device (tilting phenomenon favoring the disengagement of the disk). Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiment described and shown for which we can provide other variants, use all types of materials, extend it to other applications, without departing from the scope of the invention.

1- Device ensuring the joining, during the ascent, of a skier to a ski lift pole, characterized in that it comprises: a) a hollow disc (1), integral with the skier, having, in its lower part, a opening (5) allowing the passage of the standard disc (7), located at the end of the pole (6), which is thus housed, during the climb, inside said hollow disc; b) a belt (4), or a harness, integral with the hollow disc, ensuring the fixing of said hollow disc to the skier, resting on his abdomen.

2- Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the hollow disc comprises, in the region of the axis of the device, a cutout (2) intended to allow the interlocking of the rod (6) of the pole of the ski lift .

3- Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the hollow disc comprises, on its rear wall, a means, such as vertical grooves (3), intended for holding the belt (4), or the harness.

4- Device according to claim 3, characterized in that the vertical openings (3) are located above the axis of said dispo¬ sitive.
