Diese weniger beliebten Kassetten kosten im allgemeinen ebenso viel wie die Kassetten mit den beliebten Videofilmen. Es wird nämlich wirtschaftlich sinn¬ voll, daß der Hersteller dem Videothekar Videokassetten ge¬ gen eine Benutzungsgebühr überläßt. Die Benutzungsgebühr kann nach der Zahl der Banddurchläufe berechnet werden. Da diese Zahl erfindungsgemäß an jeder wKassette ohne weiteres abgelesen werden kann, läßt sich für jede Kassette und •' da¬ mit für jeden Film nicht nur die Benutzungshäufigkeit als Bemessungsgrundlage für die Zahlungen des -Videothekars an den Hersteller sondern auch die Beliebtheit des Films er¬ mitteln. Da der Hersteller in die Lage versetzt wird, jeden einzelnen Banddurchlauf zu registrieren und dem Videothekar anschließend in Rechnung zu stellen, kann der Hersteller dem Videothekar die seiner Ansicht nach erforderliche Zahl von Videofilmen, die vom Materialaufwand an sich nicht viel
kosten, zur Verfügung stellen. einziges Mal in Betrieb gesetzt werden. Im Gegensatz zu bei Video- und Audio-Bändern üblichen Bandlängenzählern wird also für das erfindungsgemäße Zählwerk und dessen Auslöser nur ein außerordentlich geringer Zusatzaufwand benötigt und eine Rückwirkung auf den Bandbetrieb ist nicht zu befürch¬ ten. Der Aufbau des Zählwerks mit allen Hilfsteilen ist so¬ gar so einfach und klein zu gestalten, daß die ganze erfin¬ dungsgemäße Zusatzeinrichtung innerhalb des in jeder Video¬ kassette an den Ecken ohnehin vorhandenen Hohlraums Platz findet. Es kann daher praktisch jede auf dem Markt befind¬ liche Videokassette nachträglich mit einem erfindungsgemä¬ ßen Zählwerk ausgestattet werden.
