Abstract

The device comprises two plastic discs (7) which are adhered on each side of the wheel by their periphery on the outer sides of the rim (2) which is held by spokes (3) and on which is mounted a tyre (1). Each disc is held at the hub (6) by the tension created by its peripheral adhesion. The radial cutting (8) facilitates the mounting of the disc (7) behind the disc brake (4) or the toothed wheel (5). The closing of the disc (7) at the radial cutting (8) is done by covering (9). The device protects the wheel from all projections which may increase its initial weight.
