- a drawback of known plates is that it is not possible to break only one piece off the plate at a time, but as many portion pieces are always broken off the plate as there are adjacent pieces in the transverse direction of the plate. This row of portion pieces will then be broken into individual pieces along the grooves. The amount of portion pieces in a row does not generally correspond to the amount desired by the user at the moment, and therefore, there are often left loose pieces in the pack, which pieces can fall off the pack.

Abstract
La surface de la plaque décrite est pourvue de rainures (1, 4) destinées à former des portions (3). Un inconvénient des plaques connues faites avec un produit alimentaire réside dans le fait que, lorsqu'on rompt une portion, il y a toujours une partie de même largeur que la rangée transversale de la plaque qui se rompt également. Le plus souvent, trop de portions se cassent en même temps, rendant ainsi difficile la conservation des morceaux détachés dans l'emballage. On peut éviter cet inconvénient en agençant la plaque et les rainures, de sorte que celles-ci (1) et les bords (2) de la plaque forment des carrés les uns à l'intérieur des autres, qui sont orientés selon un angle de 45° les uns par rapport aux autres.
