Abstract
A device for inspecting the aggregation state boundary of a metal on the surface of a casting mould comprises a light guide (2) mounted inside the wall of the casting mould (3) perpendicularly to the direction of movement of the casting (6), one end-face (5) of the guide being located flush with the working surface (4) of the casting mould (3) and the other end-face (10) being optically connected to a radiation converter (1). The device is intended mainly for use as a sensitive element in systems for automatic control of the casting process.
