Abstract

The disclosed clothes are characterized by (1) their opening at the back, (2) the width of their sleeves, (3) the central pocket. The easy changing of said clothes gives confort to the sick person since it does not compel the sick person to make any troublesome manipulation and it gives a certain elegance despite the situation which could give the sick person a feeling of inferiority. The fact that is very easy to change said clothes makes it possible to reduce to a minimum the effort of the nursing staff. The present invention relates only to clothes for the sick.

Description

The invention described below relates only to bed clothes for the sick. In fact, the night clothes usually used for "healthy people" cannot be suitable for the sick because, because of their condition, their movements are less easy and their state of fatigue can make them unsuitable for ordinary routine gestures. However, the nursing staff must be able to have access to all the parts of the patient's body while minimizing the handling thereof and the efforts for said staff.

The main characteristics of these garments are:

(a) a dorsal opening (1) the advantages of which are as follows: - easy dressing and undressing, without passing through the head, avoiding any shocking manipulation for the patient.

- the possibility of turning the patient on the side - right or left - and thus having access to the dorsal side of the subject regardless of the part of the body where the care must be performed (injections, dressings, nursing, etc.) .

(b) wide sleeves (2) allowing:

- taking blood pressure as often as necessary.

- intravenous injections.

- placement and monitoring of an intravenous infusion. - normal dressing, even in the presence of a plaster or a large dressing at the level of an upper limb.

(c) a central pocket (3) allowing the patient to put his handkerchief (or other object) there regardless of the member available.

The scale of the attached models may be suitable for subjects with a size between 38 and 46, the vast majority of bedridden.

In addition, these garments allow the nursing staff to change their clothes more frequently for the following reasons:

- the patient's fatigue is reduced to a minimum.

- the change can be made by a single person taking into account the ease of it minimizing the efforts of the staff.

Finally, the patient can claim a certain elegance despite a situation that he may feel as inferior.

In addition, each model has specific advantages. As examples, we will describe a nightgown, a reading light, a dressing gown, pajamas. Figures 1 and 2: Nightgown for bedridden who can possibly get up. The neckline, edged with a ribbon of the same shade, combines aesthetics with comfort.

The dorsal opening is still present there (1) with (fig. 6) the point of attachment of a closing cord (9) crossing behind and possible ventral rosette. Figures 7 - 8 - 9 and 10: Pajamas for the sick.

The three main advantages (1), (2), (3) are found there as well as the back pressures (4) but there are also:

- the width of the legs of the pants (6) allowing the wearing of a plaster or a large dressing. - a double bottom of pants but not sewn, wallet type, facilitating the exit of probe, drain, and the access to the genitals.

- the point of attachment of a drawstring (8).

A removable belt at the level of the jacket is still possible. Figures 11 and 12: Dressing gown. The patient, with the possibility of getting up or being lifted, must be able, whatever his handicap, to put on a dressing gown where:

- a certain comfort.

- self-esteem and respect respected.

The fastening point of the closure cord (9) keeps the neckline. Note that there are always characteristics (1), (2) and (3). This dressing gown can be particularly appreciated by the elderly and the paralytic: it eliminates the "antique and traditional" covering at the level of the thighs and legs.
