Abstract
Un appareil destiné à transformer l'énergie mécanique des vagues océaniques en énergie mécanique, thermique, chimique ou électrique utile se base sur l'utilisation d'une colonne d'eau oscillante et comprend une chambre oscillatoire (4) destinée à recevoir la masse d'eau provenant de la colonne d'eau, l'axe longitudinal de ladite chambre oscillatoire (4) formant un angle (O/) avec la verticale. Cet angle est choisi de telle sorte à satisfaire la formule O/ = Arc Cos AD((2pifr,O/)2.$(1,3)$O/)/g BD, où fr,O/ représente la fréquence de résonance désirée de la colonne d'eau (5), $(1,3)$O/ représente la longueur de la colonne d'eau et g représente l'accélération gravitationnelle.
