Abstract

A tent having a structural frame made of tube consists of the texture cut and sewn in the arcuate shape, the tube enclosures having tubes therein and means for connecting the tubes into the tube frame in order to prevent the escapement of the tube from the tent body. The tube frame of the spider-type has a remarkable supporting ability and the inner space of the tent is broader than that of the conventional tent.

Description

A TENT HAVING A STRUCTURAL FRAME MADE OF TUBE
Field of Invention:
The invention relates to a tent having a frame of tube in which a number of tubes are connected each other by a radial connecting pipe and the inner space of the tube frame is connected as one body as well as the tube frame is inserted into the enclosure made by sewing the tent texture cut in the arcuate type.
Background of Invention: In the conventional type, there is also a tent having a frame made of tube. This tent has the tube made of the tent texture per se at the location where the frame of the tent should be disposed or it has an additional tube fixed with the sewing portion forming the edge of the tent. However, in the structure of the conventional tent, the sewing portion of the tent is cut to form the straight line. Furtheremore, the tube fixed and adhered to the sewing portion of the tent or the tube made of the tent texture per se is also installed in the shape of the straight line so that the retaining force for the tent is only such that the tent is raised upward. In other words, the straight tube has a retaining force in the lengthwise direction only. Therefore, this tube has easily bent or buckled in the transverse direction by a small load or impact. Also there is a defect that the tube has lack of the retaining function needed as frame of the tent.
Summary of Invention:
The present invention is provided by engaging the radial connecting pipe with the tube to be thefrarre of the tent in such manner that the inner spaces of the tubes are connected each other, and forming the tube frame into the spidertype as well as inserting the tube into the arcuate enclosure sewn at the location where the frame of the tent should be disposed whereby the tent has a retaining ability to the. distortion of the out shape caused by a deflected force of any sudden impact or wind.
Brief Description of Drawings:
The present invention will be described in detail in reference with the attached drawings.
Fig. 1 is an exploded perspective view of the present invention. Fig. 2 is a sectional view showing the assembled condition of the present invention.
Fig. 3 is an enlarged sectional view showing the fixing means to connect the tube frame of the present invention. Fig. 4 is a perspective view showing the installed condition of the present invention.
Detailed Description of Invention:
In the tent 1 having a frame of tube, a tent texture is cut and sewn in the arcuate shape coinciding with the shape of the tube enclosure 3. The tube enclosure 3 having an opening at its upper end is fixed to the sewing portion 2.
The shape of the connecting pipe 4 is radial corresponding to the number of the tube enclosure 3. The tube 6 is provided with the tube cap 5. at its lower end and is inserted into the tube enclosure 3.
At the upper portion of the tube enclosure 3, the anchoring plate 8 having an anchoring hole 8' is fixed through an anchoring wire 9. The anchoring plate 8 engages with the bolt 10 provided at the central portion of the connecting pipe 4 and then the cap nut 11 threads with the bolt 10 so as to prevent the escapement of the spider-type tube frame 7 from the tent body.
At the drawings, the reference numeral 12 indicates the valve for introducing an air into the inner space of the tube frame 7 and reference numeral 13 indicates the anchoring chain for supporting the tent on the ground.
In accordance with the present invention, the tent is folded in the condition that an air is drawn out and then it is stored or carried for the application. In applying the tent, the base plate of the tent is spread and the tent is installed by introducing an air into the tube frame 7 through the air intake valve 12, At that time, the tubes 6 are expanded in the tube enclosure 3 of the tent 1 and extended in the arcuate shape corresponding to the shape of the arcuate sewing portion 2.
The expanded tubes 6 are connected each other at the upper central portion of the tent 1 by means of the connecting pipe 4 so that the inner spaces of the tubes 6 are connected by an air. Therefore, the force obtained by the outward expansion of the arcuate tubes 6 is exerted equally upon the overall tent as like as the stress remains uniformly on the spherical body.
As the result, even if the outside impact is applied partially on the tent 1, it can be dispensed on the overall tent so that the supporting condition of the tent 1 remaines very stably. Also, the tubes 6 expanded outwardly not only provide the maximum inner space of the tent 6 but cannot depart from the tent body because the anchoring plate 8 fixed at the tube enclosure engages with the bolt 10 through the anchoring wire 9.
In accordance with the invention mentioned above, the spider-type tube frame 7 is such formed that the inner spaces of the repective tube are connected each other and the tube 6 is expanded in the arcuate shape by means of the shape of the sewing portion 2, Therefore, it can be understood that the tent 1 of the invention has a remarkable supporting ability compared with, the conventional tent and the inner space of the tent is broader.
