Abstract

A rotary slide valve for hydraulic servo steerings is comprised of a one piece valve sleeve (2) with for example a pignon (1) and of a rotary slide (5) which may have a limited rotation about a predetermined angled path. The valve sleeve (2) and the rotary slide are elastically interconnected by means of a rotary rod (7). Once the elastic relative torsion (control travel) is terminated, both parts of the rotary slide are securingly coupled by means of a stop. Said stop is shaped as a hole (11) with preferably planar side walls (12 and 13) wherein claws (14, 15) provided on the rotary slide (5) may move forward. After having overcome the predetermined control travel (S), the claws (14, 15) come to a position on the side walls (12, 13), thereby enabling a direct transfer of the steering force from the steering wheel to the pinion (1).

Description

Drehschieberventil für hydraulische Hilfskraftlenkungen Rotary slide valve for hydraulic power steering
A rotary slide valve according to the preamble of claim 1 is already known from DE-OS 21 52 776. Such a valve is composed of a valve sleeve and a rotary valve guided in it. To control the pressure oil, the valve sleeve and the rotary slide valve are provided with mutually facing axial grooves and are elastically coupled to one another by a torsion bar. The valve sleeve is integrally formed with a pinion engaging in a rack. The rotary valve is connected to a steering handwheel via the steering spindle. When the steering handwheel is turned, the rotary slide valve undergoes an elastic relative rotation due to the action of the torsion bar within a predetermined control path with respect to the valve sleeve, a pressure oil flow taking place via the axial grooves to a working cylinder supporting the steering force. To limit the relative rotation, wedges are provided on the rotary valve and on the valve sleeve, which allow the relative rotation by a so-called play seat and then rigidly connect the two valve parts to one another after overcoming the control path. Such a limitation of the control path via wedges or a correspondingly designed toothing is complex to manufacture and therefore expensive.
Another rotary slide valve with a pinion made in one piece with the valve sleeve (DE-OS 17 55 438) has a groove forming stops to limit the control path on the valve sleeve, into which projections provided on the rotary slide engage. Such projections, which are arranged approximately in the axial center of the rotary valve, can only be produced with considerable manufacturing effort.
It is therefore an object of the invention to find a simple and therefore inexpensive control path limitation for a rotary slide valve of the type mentioned. According to the invention, a radial breakthrough is incorporated into the valve sleeve by broaching or bumping, so that flat side walls are created. The rotary valve also has two claws which protrude into the opening and which, after having overcome the intended control path S, come to rest on the side walls. In this way it is possible, even with rotary slide valves, which are integral with a drive element, for. B. a pinion, manufactured valve sleeve to create a reliable control path limitation with relatively little manufacturing effort. Of course, the invention is also advantageously applicable in ball nut hydraulic steering systems, e.g. B. according to DE-PS 29 13 484, in which the valve sleeve is made in one piece with a threaded spindle engaging in the working piston.
Es zeigen:The invention is explained below with reference to an embodiment shown in the drawing. Show it:
Fig. 1 einen Teillängsschnitt einer Ventilbüchse mit einem aus einem Stück gefertigten Ritzel,1 is a partial longitudinal section of a valve sleeve with a pinion made from one piece,
Fig. 2 einen Teilschnitt nach Fig. 1, jedoch um 90° verdreht,2 shows a partial section according to FIG. 1, but rotated by 90 °,
Fig. 3 einen Drehschieber in Ansicht,3 a rotary valve in view,
Fig. 4 den Zusammenbau des Drehschieberventils im Schnitt bei weggelassenem Lenkgehäuse,4 shows the assembly of the rotary slide valve in section with the steering housing omitted,
Fig. 5 einen Schnitt nach der Linie V-V in Fig. 4.5 shows a section along the line V-V in Fig. 4th
According to FIG. 1, the drive element, which is designed as a pinion 1, engages in a rack (not shown) and the valve sleeve 2 are made in one piece. The valve sleeve 2 has a number of axial grooves 4 in its bore 3 for the pressure oil distribution. Likewise, the rotary valve 5 shown in FIG. 3 is provided with a corresponding number of axial grooves 6. Like Fig. 4 shows, the rotary valve 5 is mounted in the valve sleeve 2, so that the axial grooves 4 and 6 are opposite each other, which cooperate to control the pressure oil in a known manner. The rotary valve 5 is connected to a steering handwheel via a steering spindle, not shown. The valve sleeve 2 or the pinion 1 and the rotary valve 5 are coupled to one another via a torsion bar 7. For this purpose, the two torsion bar ends are secured by pins 8 and 10 in the two parts of the rotary valve. The torsion bar 7 has the task of returning the rotary slide valve 2, 5 to the hydraulic center after completion of the steering process.
BezugszeichenTo limit the angle of rotation between the valve sleeve 2 and the rotary valve 5, the following device is provided according to the invention: As best seen in FIGS. 1 and 2, a radial opening 11 with preferably flat side walls 12 and 13 is formed in the valve sleeve 2 by broaching incorporated. In order to facilitate the actual broaching process, a guide hole is drilled that is slightly smaller than the radius R. According to FIGS. 4 and 5, claws 14 and 15 provided on the rotary valve 5 project into the opening 11 with a certain torsional play. The pressure oil control takes place in a known manner within this backlash or control path S. Contact surfaces 16, 16A and 17, 17A of the claws 15 and 14 are advantageously slightly inclined, so that after overcoming the control path S, the entire surface on the side walls 12 and 13 comes to rest. This is always the case when a defect in the hydraulic part of the power steering system means that no pressure can build up in the working cylinder. In this case, the steering force is transmitted from the steering handwheel to the pinion 1 purely manually via the rotary slide 5. Reference numerals
