Abstract
The digits (1) corresponding to the days of the months are printed on a plate (12) which is slidingly arranged under the cover (3) of a watch bracelet fastener (3, 8, 10) foldable in three parts. The cover (3) exhibits a rectangular cutting (15) through which it is possible to see at any time seven lines of digits (1). On the left edge of the opening (15) are printed the days (2) of the week. A catch device comprised of notches (16), of the plate (12) and of a small shim (18) retains the plate (12) in the set position. Since it is possible to set the digit "1" of the plate (12) vis-à-vis to the name of each weekday owing to an appropriate displacement, the calender inserted in the bracelet fastener may at any time indicate the days of the current month vis-à-vis to the corresponding names of the weekdays.
Description
UHRENARMBANDGLIED MIT KALENDERANGABEN WATCH BRACELET LINK WITH CALENDAR INFORMATION
There are platelets available on the market. a watch band link can be put on and on which all the data of a month are printed line by line with respect to the corresponding weekday names. Since during the transition from one month to the next - except for that from February to March in the common years - a certain date falls on a different day of the week, the plate on the wristband has to be exchanged practically every month . In addition, since, for example, the first of a month can fall on each of the seven days of the week, six more must be kept in addition to the tile used in each case so that the correct one is always used after each month change.
Obgleich diese bekannte Kalenderanordnung an sich die Möglich¬ keit bietet, jeden Monat die Angaben Datum und Wochentag aller Monats- tage auf dem Uhrenarmband anzuzeigen , birgt sie in sich die Gefahr, daß bei einem Monatswechsel die bisher nicht verwendeten Plättchen an einem entweder nicht sofort erreichbaren oder vergessenen Ort liegen , sogar daß die betreffenden Plättchen verloren gehen .Although this known calendar arrangement itself offers the possibility of displaying the date and day of the week of all days of the month on the watch band every month, it harbors the risk that, when the month changes, the previously unused platelets on a plate that is either not immediately accessible or forgotten place, even that the tiles in question are lost.
However, contiguous perpetual calendars are known per se. Numbers from one to thirty-one rows and columns are printed on a slide plate. Each column comprises a series of successive numbers and the rows each comprise the numbers of one of the seven classes or seven, ie "1", "8", "15", "22", "29";"2","9","16","23","30", etc. In a window of a cover plate, seven rows of numbers are visible in each set position of the slide plate. Are along at least one edge of the window the day of the week printed. The slide plate contains so many lines of numbers and its freedom of movement is dimensioned such that, for example, the one of this plate can be pushed over each day of the week (CH-A-230 718).
Such calendars, which have been known for almost forty years, have so far never been built into a watch or their bracelet.
According to claim 1, this deficiency is remedied by a continuous perpetual calendar, i.e. such a calendar, which does not include a part to be kept separately, is attached to a watch band link.
The easiest way to attach a calendar according to claim 2 is a watch band link. Depending on the extent of the bracelet links, the data lines can be carried by a plate which is displaceable relative to the fixed weekday names, or these data lines can be printed directly on a bracelet link and the weekday names can be arranged on a frame displaceable above this bracelet link.
For attaching a calendar of the type considered, however, the larger size of the watch band closure is the most suitable watch band link, as described by claim 3, especially if this closure according to claim 4 consists of three collapsible, relatively long parts.
So that the movable calendar part remains in the set position with certainty, it is preferably assigned a latching device as described by claim 5.
An embodiment of the watch band link according to the invention and a modification of this example will now be described in detail with reference to the drawing.

The in Fig. 1 shown, consisting on the one hand of numbers 1 from one to one and thirty and on the other hand of the day of the week 2, is built into the cover 3 of a watch band clasp 4. The lid 3 is articulated at 5 to the end of a bracelet part 6 and at 7 to a middle part 8 of the closure. The other end of the middle part 8 is in turn also articulated at 9 to a lower part 10 of the closure, the other end of which is articulated at the end of the other bracelet part 11. In the in Fig. 2 shown folded state of the three-part closure 3, 8, 10, the bracelet gently grips the arm of the watch wearer. As is known, the cover 3 normally holds the closure in the closed state by means of a snap closure (not shown) provided at its free end. But when the latter is released, the parts 3, 8, 10 stretch out so that the watch with the bracelet can be slid over the hand.
The numbers 1 corresponding to the monthly data are printed on a plate 12 which is held directly under the cover 3 with the aid of two transverse webs 13, 14 attached to the latter in such a way that it can be easily pushed in the longitudinal direction relative to the cover 3. The numbers 1 are arranged on the plate 12 according to the known pattern discussed above. The cover 3 is provided with a rectangular cutout 15, in each of which seven lines of the numbers 1 are visible. Each of these seven lines appears opposite one of the weekday names 2 printed on the cover 3 along the left edge of the cutout 15. So that the plate 12 does not inadvertently move away from the respectively set position, it is provided on the right edge with seven triangular notches 16 in which the tip of a block 18 under the action of a leaf spring 17 engages. By means of a button 19 (FIG. 3) which is firmly connected to the block 18 and protrudes from the edge of the cover 3, the block 18 can be pulled by hand to the right against the action of the spring 17 engaging in a groove 20 of the block 18 and thus the plate 12 for a new setting is released. Thanks to the locking device consisting of the notches 16, the spring 17 and the block 18, the plate 12 can be pushed from the position in which the first row of numbers 1 appears at the top of the cutout 15 to the position in which the last line of the numbers 1 in section 15 below. In other words, the plate 12 can be shifted in such a way that the one of the monthly data can be set in relation to each of the weekday names 2.
The in Fig. The modification shown in FIGS. 4 to 7 differs from the exemplary embodiment described above only in the arrangement of the latching device used to hold the number plate. In these figures, therefore, only the closure cover 3a and the number plate 12a are shown. The latter consists of well resilient material. A row of triangular teeth 21 protrudes beyond the upper side surface of this plate along the middle part of each of its long sides. In each possible position of the plate 12a, a few teeth 21 from each of the two rows present are normally in engagement with a triple of corresponding teeth 22 which protrude from the lower side of the closure cover 3a and are located approximately in the longitudinal center of this cover. The plate 12a is also punched out with a pair of side tabs 23 located in the middle of their long sides.
The folded-down side walls 24 of the cover 3a are each provided with an elongated slot 25, through which one of the tabs 23 passes. The slots 25 are slightly wider than the sum of the thickness of the tabs 23 and the depth of engagement of the teeth 21 and 22. The central zone of the plate width is held against the cover 3a by means not shown, so that the tabs 23 are normally against the upper edge of the slots 25 lie.
OMH ^7
Sobald die Lappen 23 freigelassen werden, kehren die Zähne 21 dank der Elastizität der Platte 12a mit den Zähnen 22 wieder in Eingriff.OMH ^ 7 In order to readjust the plate 12a when the month changes, both tabs 23 are pressed down simultaneously with two fingers until the teeth 21 are detached from the teeth 22. Then plate 12a can be like plate 12 of the type shown in FIG. 1 to 3 shown example are pushed into the new position. As soon as the tabs 23 are released, the teeth 21 come back into engagement with the teeth 22 thanks to the elasticity of the plate 12a.
An accidental displacement of the plate 12a is practically impossible, since the probability of an unintentional and simultaneous pressing down of both tabs 23 borders on zero.
An arrangement according to the modification described proves to be particularly advantageous in series production.
