Abstract

Telescopic rail system comprising C-shaped outer rails (12), C-shaped middle rails (13) and I-shaped inner rails (14), as those mounted particularly on vehicle doors. Heretofore, those systems where provided with series of steel bearing balls in races. The invention proposes to arrange balls in contact between them, without races, and to use alternatingly steel and plastic balls. In the preferred form of execution, 2-3 steel balls will be used at each end of the rails.

Description

Teleskopschienensystem Telescopic rail system
Technisches GebietTechnical field
The invention relates to a telescopic slide system consisting of a C-shaped outer rail, a central rail guided therein, an I-shaped inner rail and rows of bearing balls in between.
Stand der TechnikState of the art
Die mit dem Träger 1 verschweißten Halter 10, 11 weisen Bohrun-Ball rail systems according to FIG. 1 have become known in which the balls made of steel are held in sheet metal cages in such a way that all balls are equidistant from one another but do not touch one another. The extraction of these systems must be limited by expensive stops, since the ball cages or ball baskets must not be subjected to compression. In addition, the running noise often disturbs. 1 shows in cross section a ball rail system which has been known for years and is primarily used for vehicle pivoting sliding doors. The system consists of an outer C-shaped carrier 1, a central C-shaped carrier 2, an inner I-shaped carrier 3, the rows of balls 4, 5, 6, 7 and the C-shaped ball cages 8, 9. The C-beam 1 is attached to the vehicle, the I-beam 3 to the door leaf. The holders 10, 11 welded to the carrier 1 have bores
The balls 4 - 7, which are made of hardened steel, are held at a distance in the ball cages 8, 9 in such a way that they cannot touch one another. Lateral stop pairs must be attached between the first and second as well as the second and third rails in order to limit the pull-out of the system.
Darstellung der ErfindungPresentation of the invention
The invention is based on the object of simplifying the known ball rail systems, increasing the load capacity, reducing their space requirement and damping noise.
This object is achieved in that the bearing balls are laid without ball cages and consist alternately of steel and plastic.
Beschreibung der ZeichnungDescription of the drawing
Dazwischen liegen die Kugelreihen 15, 16, 17, 18.Fig. 2 shows a cross section through the novel system. The outer C-rail is designated 12, the middle 13 and the inner I-rail 14. In between are the rows of balls 15, 16, 17, 18.
In Fig. 3 the system is drawn in the extended state. The rails 12 and 13 are closed at the right end by end pieces 19 and 20 so that the balls cannot fall out. The rails 13 and 14 carry at the left end protruding stop disks 21 and 22 which take the balls with them when the system is pulled out and push them in front of them until all balls in a row collide in the end position. A salient feature is that the balls are made of steel and plastic alternately, with 1-3 steel balls being provided at the ends for reasons of strength. The steel balls are dotted. Since steel and plastic balls alternately collide when the system is pulled out, the noise is development significantly less than with known arrangements, the low friction of plastic on steel has a positive effect when rolling. Another advantage can be seen in the fact that when the system is pulled out, that is to say when the door is open and the mechanical load is high, the balls lie close together and can therefore transmit the forces and moments well. So you can get by with a much smaller minimum coverage than before. In other words, the system can be pulled out without endangering. The load capacity is further increased by the fact that the vertical web of the central profile 13 can be made much stronger with the same external dimensions. The changed strength ratios can be easily read from the true-to-scale FIGS. 1 and 2. The most heavily loaded middle profile can thus be decisively stiffened.
When the system is pushed together, the balls gain spacing from one another, their position being determined according to the principle of minimum friction. The location of the balls when the door is closed moves on a statistical average, so that the forces are introduced again and again at other and new points of the ball grooves.
In the known system, the balls are always in the same places due to the positive guidance in the cages when the door is closed, so that the ball grooves can be knocked out as a result of driver vibrations.
The novel telescopic rail system advantageously combines the high load-bearing capacity of steel ball bearings with the quiet running of the ball bearings known per se with plastic balls.
Bester Weg zur Ausführung der ErfindungBest way to carry out the invention
Gewerbliche VerwertbarkeitThe best way to carry out the invention is to use steel and plastic balls alternately and, as an exception to this rule, to provide some steel balls at the ends. The C and I profiles can be extruded or rolled. Commercial usability
The invention is intended to be used primarily for vehicle doors or sliding doors in general. But it also offers advantages for furniture, especially for drawers or pull-out shelves.
