Abstract
Une methode de controle d'un procede de refusion sous laitier electroconducteur d'electrodes consommables dans un cristallisateur large consiste a stabiliser le volume du bain de laitier par dosage de l'alimentation en flux, a stabiliser la resistance du bain de laitier dans l'espace entre les electrodes en reglant la puissance d'alimentation au bain de laitier et a stabiliser le niveau du bain de metal dans le cristallisoir large par deplacement de celui-ci par rapport aux lingot coule. Le deplacement reciproque du cristallisoir et du lingot coule est effectue de sorte que le rapport entre le courant passant au travers de la paroi du cristallisoir et le courant de fusion totale soient maintenus constants. Le dispositif pour mettre en application cette methode comprend des moyens (4) pour doser l'alimentation du flux dans le bain de laitier (5) et des moyens d'entrainement (6) assurant le deplacement relatif du cristallisoir (7) et du lingot coule et connectes a l'entree d'une unite (9) a effet directionnel. Le dispositif comprend egalement une unite(10) de determination du rapport entre le courant passant au travers de la paroi du cristallisoir (7) et le courant de fusion totale. Une des entrees de l'unite (10) est connectee a un detecteur (13) du courant total de fusion et une autre entree a un detecteur (14) du courant passant au travers de la paroi du cristallisoir (7). La sortie de l'unite (10) est connectee a l'entree d'une unite (17) comparant les valeurs du rapport des courants mentionnes avec une valeur predeterminee, sa sortie etant connectee a l'unite (9).
