Abstract

Nuevos polipéptidos de hidroxifenil piruvato dioxigenasa (HPPD), variantes y fragmentos de estos, y polinucleótidos que los codifican, capaces de conferir a las plantas niveles comerciales de resistencia o tolerancia a herbicidas de HPPD. Las composiciones incluyen secuencias de aminoácidos, variantes y fragmentos de estas, para polipéptidos de HPPD, y polinucleótidos que los codifican. También se proporcionan métodos de producción y uso de plantas resistentes a herbicidas de HPPD que expresan estos nuevos polipéptidos de HPPD, métodos para controlar selectivamente las malas hierbas en campo en ubicación de cultivo y métodos de caracterización, identificación y selección de estas nuevas HPPD.
