Abstract
Nuevos polipéptidos de hidroxifenil piruvato dioxigenasa (HPPD), variantes y fragmentos de los mismos, así como polinucleótidos que los codifican, capaces de conferir a las plantas niveles comerciales de resistencia o tolerancia a herbicidas de HPPD. Las composiciones incluyen secuencias de aminoácidos y variantes y fragmentos de las mismas, para polipéptidos de HPPD, así como polinucleótidos que los codifican. También se proporcionan métodos de producción y uso de plantas resistentes a herbicidas de HPPD que expresan estos nuevos polipéptidos de HPPD, métodos para controlar selectivamente las malas hierbas en un campo en una ubicación de cultivo y métodos de caracterización, identificación y selección de estas nuevas HPPD.
