IMPROVEMENT IN HANGING LAMPS.

Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 126,254, dated April 30, 1872, reissue N1. 5,534, dated August 19, 1873; application filed June 30, 1873.

To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, GEORGE BoHNER, of Chicago, in the county of Cook, State of Illinois, have invented an Improvement in Hang- Extending upward from this socket are two rods, H, to the upper ends of which are attached the chains I I. In the drawing, A represents a conical tin lamp shade or reflector, having a vertical flange, a, turned at its upper or smaller end, which flange is embraced bythe supportingscribed, tubes may be used for the same purpose, one of which is shown at O in Fig. 1.

The weight of the ring and shade should counterbalance that of the lamp and socket.

What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
