By reason of the construction of the supporting platform suspending the ftire be-v neath the body of the truck from the rear extension of the frame, the sectional locating-rings and the clamping hooks, it will be obseWed-that the tire may'be readil removed by loosening the clamping hoo s so as to turn' them away from engagement wlth the 'rim and lifting the tire slightly upward- 1y so that it will clear the locating ring; When it is placed in positionthereon and clamped firmly, the tire properwillbe free from engaem'ent or contact with any part of the carrier, while at the same time it. will be held firmly and securely in position. What I claim as my invention is:
1. The combination with a vehicle frame,
' of atire carrier suspended therefrom and positioned directly beneath the same, comprising supporting straps secured to each side of the frame and extending downwardly therefrom, a pair of horizontally extending parallel bars spaced from each other and forming asup orting platform carried by said straps, sai bars being spaced from the under side'of said frame, a horizontally extending sectional locating ring mounted on said bars and rigidly secured thereto, an
annular and upwardly extending flange portio'n provided on said ring arrangedto engage and support the tirerim at a sufficient elevation from said bars to prevent theengagementof any part of said ring b tire mounted on said rim, and a 'plurallty of clamping hooks extending vertically through said bars for hooking over the tire rim and I removably clamping said rim in position-on said" locating andfllde'scribed'.

The-combination with a vehicle flame of fan underslung tire carrier, including a horizontally arranged supporting platform secured in spaced relation beneath 'sai'd' frame,and afmember carried by said platform for reinforcing said'platform andfor supporting the tire-spacedfrom said frame and platform;

The combination with a vehicle frame of'an underslung tire carrier, including a horizontally arranged supporting platform secured in spaced "relation beneath said frame,'a1id a member reinforcing said plat-' the v r ng, substantially as' sliown form and engaging the rim of the tire for supporting the tire out of engagement with the adjacent frame and platform."
4. The combination with a vehicle frame, of an underslung tire carrier, including a horizontally arranged supporting platform secured in spaced relation beneath said frame, and amember carried by said platform constituting a reinforcement for the platform and a combined centering and supporting means for therim of the tire; I
5. The combination with a vehicle frame, ofan underslung tirefcarrier, including a horizontally arranged supporting platform secured in spaced relation beneath said frame, and v a horizontally arranged member carried by said platform "for reinforcing the same and; for engaging the irim of i the tire for centerin the'ltire and supportingthe same spaced from the adjacent" frame and platform. 6. The combination with a vehicle frame, of a tire carrier suspended -therefrorfi and positioned therebene'ath, including supporting straps secured to the frame and extending downwardly therefrom, spaced horizontal bars carried by said straps and forming a supporting platform, a horizontally arranged upwardly projecting member carried by said platform for engaging the tire rim to center the tire, and support the same out of contact with the adjacent structure 'and means carried by "said'pla'tform and engageablewith' said rirn"for*clairiping thelat-ter in place. The combination with a vehicleframe, of an underslung tire'carrier, including a horizontally arranged supporting platform secured ,in spaced relation beneath said frame, a member carried 'bysaid platform for reinforcing the same and" for supporting the tire spaced from said frame and platform and means engageable with theriinof the tire to clamp the same in place. 8.
