PATENT OFFICE DESIGN FOR A SHOE Oliver J. Sullivan, Hudson, Mass.

Be it known that I, Oliver J. Sullivan, a citizen of the United States, residing at Hudson, in the county of Middlesex and Commonwealth of Massachusetts, have invented a new, original, and Ornamental Design for a Shoe, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof, in which the figure is a view in side elevation of a shoe showing my new design, the sole, heel and counter portions being conventional and shown in dotted lines.

The dominant feature of my design is displayed in the instep area of the shoe, and resides in a figure comprising a pair of upright forwardly curved bands rising from approximately the mid point of the shank at the sole line and extending forwardly to the open edge of the quarter on each side of the shoe, a forwardly extendingband springing from said upright bands at a point spaced above the sole line and passing in a curve about the forepart of the vamp, the area bounded by said bands being filled with substantially parallel forward and downwardly extending rays of ornamental perforations and scalloped lines, the figure being of the same appearance on both sides of the shoe.

I claim:

The ornamental design for a shoe substantially as shown and described.
