Be it known that I, FREDERICK R. SEU)- ENSTICKER, of West Meriden, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Design for Inkstands, and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection With the accompanying drawings, to be a full, clear, and exact de scription of the same, and which said drawings constitute part of this specification, and represent a perspective view.
rlhis invention relates to a design for inkstand-base and pen rack 5 and consists in the peculiar configuration and ornamentation of the base, as hereinafter described.
The base is in the form of a parallelogram, resting on a foot at each angle. The edge of the base, in transverse section, is in vertical outline of inverted ogee form, with an invertedegg ornamentation, surmounted by a smaller inverted ogee moldin g, reeded, and a fillet flush with the upper surface of the base, all as shown in the accompanying illustration.
On the base the ink stand or stands are arranged, and from this the pen-rack rises in the rear. The base may be made of varying size, according to the size or number of inkstands desired.
I claim- The design for inkstands herein described, consisting et' the base, the edges of which, in transverse section, are molded in inverted ogee form, Withthe egg and reeded ornamentation, as shown in the accompanying illustration.
