DESIGN FOR AN ORGAN-CASE.
Specification forming part of Design No. [1,550, dated December 23, 1879 application filed October 15, 1879.
[Term of patent 7 years] i To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, HENRY K. WHITE, of Meriden, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Design for Organ-(Jase and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying illustration and the,letters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said illustration constitutes part of this specification, and represents a perspective View.
This invention relates to a design for case for reed-organs and similar instruments; and it consists in the shape or configuration of the parts, as shown in the accompanying illustration.
The main body of the case is of usual form,
supporting a shelf. Above the gallery the center of the back is carried up and crowned with a semicircular molding, and with scrollwork at each side; and from the face of this, at each side, brackets cl extend outward, sup porting inclined shelves or pockets, all as shown in the accompanying illustration.
I claim- 1. The design for an organcase, consisting of the raised panel a, extending from the base upward, with molding across the top, and crowned with scroll-work, as described and shown.
2. The design for an orgaucase, consisting of the outwardly-projecting bracket b at each end of the key-section, and a shelf on each bracket in the plane of the molding across the top of the end panels, as described and shown.
3. The design for organ-case, consisting of the central upward extension of the back, with scroll work at each side, and brackets projecting from the face, and inclined shelves between said brackets, all as described, and shown in the accompanying illustration.
