Description

A. c. KORTE 1368- ,8 8
VELOCIPEDE May 16, 1933.
Filed Feb. 27, 1933 11v VEN TOR ATTORNEY Patented May 16, 1933 UNITED STATES Des. 89,898
PATENT OFFICE ALFRED C. KORTE, OF ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI, ASSIGNOR 'I'O METALGRAFT CORPORATION, OF ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI, A CORPORATION OF MISSOURI DESIGN FOR .A. VELOCIPEDE Application filed February 27, 1933. Serial No. 47,324. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ALFRED C. KORTE, a citizen of the United States residing at St. Louis, in the State of Missouri, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for Velocipedes, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.
Referring to the drawing:
In the drawing, Figure 1 is a plan View of the velocipede according to my invention.
Figure 2 is a front elevation of the velocipede.
Figure 3 is a side elevation of the velocipede.
Figure 4 is a rear elevation of the velocipede.
The essential features of the design relate to the construction of the handle bars and frame. The handle bar is ofiset forwardly of the handle bar post by a web portion which extends forwardly from the post to a point in the front center and tapers gradually outwardly and to the rear into the cylindrical formation at the hand grips.
The frame is of slightly arched construction when viewed from the side and is also definitely arched in cross section being broad at the base and having a convex upper side. The frame is broadened at the rear and curved smoothly into the lines of the rear axle which tapers outwardly from the point Where it is joined by the frame to the rear wheels. N0 struts, braces or other reinforcements connecting the frame and rear axle are visible, but the broad base of the frame itself at the point where it joins the rear axle gives an appearance of neatness and strength.
I claim:
The ornamental design for a velocipede substantially as shown and described.
Signed at St. Louis, in the State of Missouri this 24th day of February, 1933.
ALFRED G. KORTE.
