DESIGN FOR KETTLE.
Specification forming part of Design No. 8,907, dated January 18, 1876; application filed December 31,1875.

To all whom 'it 'may concern:
Be it known that I, JOHN LUNDGREN, of the cit51 of New York, in the county and State of New York, have originated and invented an Improved Design for a Water-Kettle, ot' which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying photographic illustration or drawing, making part of this specification.
The nature of my invention is fully represented in the accompanying photographic illustration, to which reference is made; and consists in an improved design for a waterkettle of the kind usually employed for heating water to be poured on tea or coiee.
The body of the kettle is made in the form of a frustum of a cone, and may be ornamented with horizon tal or with vertical beads or moldings stamped thereon. 1t has a curved spout and a handle at the back, both of which are placed in the ordinary position,
and substantially as shown in the drawing. A bow or handle, attached to lugs which are secured on the top of the kettle, snrmonnts the body of the latter, and is placed transversely across the same immediately above the lid, at, or about at, right angies to an imaginary line drawn from the end of the spout to the handle, it being placed about at a right angle to a line drawn from the end of the spout to the handle.
What I claim as my invention is- The within-described design for a waterkettle, consisting of the transverse bow, handie, spout, and body of the kettle, each substantially of the form herein shown, and coinbined and arranged in relation to each other, as shown and described. JOHN LUNDGREN.
