DESIGN FOR FLOOR OIL-CLOTHS.
Specification forming part of Design To all whom it may concern.:
Be it known that I, JOSEPH BARRETT, ot' New York city, New York, have invented or produced a Design for a Floor Oil-Cloth Pattern, of which the following is a specification:
The accompanying photograph shows suficient of an oil-cloth to illustrate my design.
The main feature of the design consists of an oblong ornament, A, having scroll-like ends, which merge into tigures B, the figures A and B in the complete pattern inclosing a space which contains the gnre D.
The figure A has interior ornamentation a. and a border, b, both of a foliated character, and too clearly shown to need minute description.
The ligure B has a central ornament, d, of Square outline, ornaulented both in the interior and on the sides, as shown.
The tigure D has a border, c, and its interior is divided by a series ot' stripes,f, into a, center space, g, and corner spaces h, both cen ter and corner spaces being provided with ornamentation ot' a character too clearly shown to need description.

[Term of Patent 3s years] Irrespeetivc ofthe colors employed, I claim- 1. The design for' the figure A, with its scroll like ends, its interior foliated ornament, and foliated border, as shown and described.
2. The design com prising the figures A and the figures B, ornamented as shown and described.
3. The design for the figure D, its border e, stripes f, and spaces g and h, ornamented as shown.
4. The design for the whole pattern coinprising the figures A, B, and D, substantially as shown, and as illustrated in and by the accompanying drawing.
