To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, CHARLES ROWLAND, oi the city, county, and State of N ew York, have originated and Designed an Improved Fan, of which the following is a specification:

The photographic illustration or drawing accompanying this specification shows the invention.

My fan, thus presented, is designed in the shape of a perpendicular out or section of the old Independence Bell, at Philadelphia, with like inscriptions as are found on said bell. The handle to said fan will be in one piece with the hell, or, of wood or any desired material, be made separate from the fan. The article will be made of any desired rigidified material.
