DESIGN FOR CRANK.
Specification forming part of Design No. 7.201, dated February 24, 1874; application filed February 1?, 1374. [Term of Patent 14 years] To all whom it may eoneern:
lie it known that I, HAMILTON E. SMITH, ot' \Vest l itehbnrg, in the county of 'orcester and State of illassaehusetts, have invented a new and original Design for Crank; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable those skilled in the art to make and use the same, reterenee being had to the aceompalrving drawing, forming part of this specification, in which drawingl ignrel represents a t'ront viewot' my crank. l ig. 2 is a transverse section ot'the same.

This invention relatesto a design for a crank, the shank oi which is tapering from the hub to the handle, and ornamented by two raised ribs extending along its edges, while the web, which forms the junction between said raised ribs, is perforated with holes of a graduallydecreasing size, thus producing a crank which has a novel and ornamental appearance.
In the drawing, the letter A designates a crank, the shank of which is tapering from the hub B toward the handle 0. Said shank is ornamented by two raised ribs, (1 a, which extend along its edges, and the web I, which intervenes between said ribs, is perforated with a series of holes, 0, of gradnallyaleereasing di ameter, and by these means a crank is produced which has a distinguishing and ornamental appearance.
What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for a crank, consisting of a tapering shank with raised ribs a a and a web, I}, perforated with holes 0 0t ,LfliltltlflllX-(llllllll ishing diameter, as shown and described.
