DESIGN FOR A CAPE.
Specification forming part of Design No. 6,702, dated June 10, 1873; application filed May 8, 1873.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, MARTIN LANDENBER- GER, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, have invented a Design for a Garment, of which the following is a specification:
In the accompanying drawing. Figure 1 is a perspective View, and Fig. 2 a skeleton outline, of a circular garment made in accordance with my design.
The garment is of the general semicircular form illustrated in Fig. 2, has a curved recess, a, for the neck-band, a hood, A, at the back, and is split or slashed at the bottom, as shown at b; but this is immaterial and may be dispensed with.
The hood A is of the peculiar general shape best observed in Fig. 2, it being drawn in at c and provided with pendent ends (I. The
hood is further ornamented by a row of but tons, by a gimp-like fringe at the edges of the same, and by a deep fringe at its lower extremity, similar to that with which the semicircular outline of the garment is edged.
I claim- 1. The design for the hood A, having the outline shown and described.
2. The design for the whole garment, substantially as described, and as represented in and by the accompanying drawin".
