DESIGN FOR TOY BUILDING-BLOCKS.

Specification forming part of Design No. 5,404, dated December 5, 1871,

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, RODNEY G. BRIT'IUN, of

Springfield, in the county of \Vindso and btate i Figure l is a perspective view of one of these blorks. Fig. 2 is a pyramidal group of the bloelts joined together, showing them in both side and end elevation. Fig. 3 is an elevation of a model of a cottage as eonstrueted by the use of these blocks.

As represented in the drawin A the body of the block, having the rib or tongue B and the groove D. The ribs or tongues B and the grooves D are in each block of uniform size, the. former fitting into the latter suttieiently tight to hold the bloeks together, as shown. 'lransverse grooves, U U, are formed on the same side of the bloek, which has the longitudinal groove 1). These grooves C 0 receive the rib B of the next l)l()(,'l beneath it when the two are placed at right angles.

These bloelzs are eat in various lengths, as illustrated, and with them models of houses, ehurehes, steeples, railway-tracks, ears, bridges, &e.. may be made, as they are capable of being joined into an infinite variety of forms, to the endless amusement ot' the young.

I claim as my invention- The design for toy lmilding-bloeks, as herein shown and deseribed.
