DESIGN FOR .AN ILLUMINATING-CHANDELIER.
Specification for Design.
Patented Oct. 26, 1915.
Application filed May 7, 1915. Serial No. 26,662. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, EARLE C. MQKINNIE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for an Illuminatinghandelier, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part hereof.
My invention relates to an ornamental design for illuminating fixtures and, more particularly, to a chandelier wherein the body member is suspended from a pendent standard depending from the ceiling.
The drawing illustrates my ornamental design in side elevation.
It will be seen by reference to the drawing which forms a part of this specification, that my design comprises a ceiling fixture of an inverted, conical shape, the outline of the wall whereof is composed of curves and compound curves connected by angular intermediate portions and projections. A
standard depends from the apex of the ceil ing fixture and terminates in an ornamental socket for a lamp. Secured to and radiating from this socket are elliptical-shaped arms that support the annular chandelier body. This chandelier body comprises a wide ring, the central portion whereof is depressed so as to provide an annular recess extending around the body and in this recess are made a plurality of vertically elongated niches. Below the ring and of a diameter less than the diameter of said ring, is a frustumshaped lower portion of the same height as said ring, that terminates in a concave curve. Below this concave curve is a bowl of elliptical outline in cross section.
I claim,
The ornamental design for an illuminating chandelier as shown and described.
Signed at Chicago, in the county of Cook, and State of Illinois, this 4th day of May,
EARLE C. MOKINNIE.
