DESIGN FOR AN UMBRELLA-STAND.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the :same` To all whom 'it may concern Be it known that I, CHRISTOPHER BLAKE, of Boston, in the county of Suffolk and State of Massachusetts, have invented a new Design for an Umbrella- Stand, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying,l photographs making part ot' this specification, in which are represented a perspective view of an umbrella-staml with a dripping-pan of my improved design applied thereto, and a perspective view of my said pan removed from its stand.
My present design consists in a pan of rectangular form, made separate from and applied to an umbrellastand, to receive the water which drips from an umbrella when wet and placed therein; and, also, in a rectangular rest or support for the same.
In the photographs- A is an umbrella-stand, the upright portion, a, o1'
which is supported by the hase b, in each sido ot' which is formed a cavity or opening, c, for the reception ot' a dripping-pan, d, in which to place umbrellas, a hollow rectangular projection 0r rest, e, being provided on cach side of the stand for the upper portion ot' the umbrellas to lean against and to hold them in an upright position.
The dripping-pans are made separate from the umbrella-stand in order that they maybe readily removed ytherefrom toempty the water which may run into them from the wet umbrellas placed therein.

What l claim as my inventiomaml desire to ser-ure by Letters Patent, is-
'lhe design for the pan l and rest c ot' an umbrellastand, substantially as shown and described.
