DESIGN FOR A RESILIENT TIRE.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, CHARLES H. SEMPLE, a citizen of the United States, residing at Trenton, in the county of Mercer and State of New Jersey, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for Resilient Tires, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof, in which Figure l is a plan of a portion of a resilient tire suitable for use on an automobile, showing my new design; and Fig. 2 is a sideelevation thereof.
Referring to the drawings, the longitudinally and transversely curved surface of the tire 1 is provided with a series of hollow or skeleton triangles 2 whose apices are best somewhat rounded as shown, and whose sides are formed by raised ribs molded in the tread material. Located centrally of the hollow or depression bounded by the Specification for Design.
