DESIGN FOR THE FRAME 01"' .AN EMERY GRIN DER.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.
To all whom 'it 'may concern Be it known that I, ABIJAH WALLACE, of Stroudsburg, in the county ot Monroe and State of' Pennsylvaniu, have invented a new Design f'or lthe Frame of' an Emery Grinder; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, und exact description of' the saine, reference being had to the accompanying drawing forming part ot' this specihcation, :nld in which- Fignre l is a f'ront view; and Figure 2, a back View of the frame, both in perspective.
Figure 3 is a transverse vertical section of one side of the entablature.
Figure l is a horizontal section of one ofthe legs.
Similar' letters of reference indicate corresponding parts in the several figures.
The frame consists of' an open entablature, A, having` at its front corners tbrn'ardly project-ing rest-brackets. n, n, having standing up above it the two journal boxes C G, for the reception ot' the shaft of' the grinder, und haring for its support four legs, B B B B.
'lhc plan Ot' the entabluture is oblong with its rear corners rounded. Its transverse sectional form is shown in fig. 3.
The lugs B B B B are of such curved forni that the two at either end combine to forni one arch; the
two in front combine to forni another and the two at the back combine to form another. The transverse sectional f'orm of the legs is shown in fig. 4.
On the space over the arch of' the two front legs and below the cornice e Ot' theentablatnre, shown in iig. 1, are bas-relief ornaments, b b, oi' a leafy character, and between them a bas-relief scroll, c c.
On the corresponding space over the arch of the two rear legs, shown in fig. 2, are similar ornaments, b b, with a bas-relief' representation, d, Of` :1n eurerywheel between them.
On the corresponding space over the arches at each end are bas-relief ornaments, f, the form of which is Shown in figs. l and 2.
The form of' the journal-boxes can be better understoon by reference to figs. 1 Iand 2 than by any concise description.
What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
'lhe design and configuration of the frame of an emery grinder as herein shown and described.
