Mrim'rr, a. 4citizen of the United States, residing at New York; in the county of New York and State of Lew York, have invented a new, ori inal, and ornamental Design for u Shade or {efleotor or Similar Artiele, of which the followin r is a slweifieation. reference being had to tie accompanying drawing, forming part thereof. 4 n
My design is a glass shade or relleelor l haring.ubstantialljy' the shape shown in the aix-.ompanying drawing, an( provided with exterior prisms lying substantiall in the planos intersecting the longitudina axis of the shade.

`When a shade. made in accordance with my invention is viewed from below it gives the appearance of a central brilliantl illuminated ring marked with lines radiating from the ventral axis of the shade, Surrounded hy a darker circular portion which appears to frame the brighter interior portion. This raryinpr lillumination of the shade is indicated 1n Fig. l althou vht is impossible to fully illustrate in a irawing;r the effect obtained from my design.
