Ohio, have invented certain new and useful lmprore- 1 ments in o. Design for a. 'lrnde-IiIui-k; and I do hereby declare that'. the following is n full und complete description of the same.

'lhis invention relates to n design for n trade-mark, the sanne to be placed upon oil-barrels, to indicate the. nature of the eonents thereof'.

The character of Suid design is os follows:

It is ol' n circular form, the outer riu'i or margin of which is marde up ot' the nznne of the company, Morehouse, Freeman, and Crumb, by whom the oil is nnm ufuctured, and the words Cleveland, Ohio, the name of the place and State of the company :nid manufactory.

\Vithin the upper side of the border of the design, are arranged five star-like gures, A, on which the letters of the word trade are displayed.

\Vithin the lower side of the border ure arranged four similar-shaped ligures, B, on which the letters of the word niark ure displnyed.

Across tllediznnelerofthe design, heineeu the words trade :nid lnurkj is displayed the nord iunehinery.
