Be it known that I, WALTER C. CUNNING- HAM, of Philadelphia, in the State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Member of a Tobacco- Pipe Bowl, whereof the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings.
In said drawings, Figure l is an inner face View of a bowl member embodying the essential features of my design. Fig. 2 is a top plan view of said member. Fig. 3 is an edge view of said member.
In said figures said member is shown as comprising a complete annular top A, surrounding the cavity A. Substantially onehalf of the circumference of said top A merges into the outer face A of the member, which is of curved contour. The remainder of said top A projects abruptly from the substantially flat inner face A of the member, into which the cavity A opens. In the bottom of said cavity A is a smoke-passage a which extends along the neck A and terminates at a in the latter. Between said cavity A and the bottom perimeter a of the plane face A is a septum B. Between the cavity A and the perimeter a of the plane face A is the septum C.
The material feature of my design consists in the member aforesaid comprising the complete annular top A, which for substantially one-half of its circumference merges into the curved surface A and for the remainder of its circumference overhangs the substantially
