SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 34,853, dated July 23, 1901.
Application led May 15, 1901. Serial No. 60.407. Term of patent 7 years.
To @ZZ whom t may concern:
Be it known that I, .ILIUS HIRSH, a citizen ofthe United States, residing in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania, have invented or produced a new and original Design for an Undergarment, of which the followingis a specification,
My design for an undergarment is fully shown in the accompanying drawing.
The essential feature of the design consists of an undergarment having overlying breastaps, each extending from the arm portion to the center of the garment, the lower edges of said overlyingbreast-aps having ornamental borders and each of said lower edges presenting a reverse curve, the inner curves of each lap meeting at the center and forming a con= tinuous convex curve at that point.
l represents the body of the garment, 2 2 the sleeves, and 8 3 the breast-flaps, the lower edge of each of the latter presenting a reverse curvethat is to say, an outer concave curve 4, beginning at the sleeve, and an in= ner convex curve 5, extending to the inner edge of the flap, so that said convex curves meet Where the iiaps join or overlap at the center.
The neck-opening of the garment and the two breast-naps have ornamental edging.
Having thus described my invention, I claim and desire to secure by Letters Patent-- The design for an undergarment substantially as described and as shown in the aecompanying drawing.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses. y
