WILLIAM A. HOLLAND, OF LONDOI I, OHIO.
DESIGN FOR A HEDGE-TRIMMING KNIFE.
To (0Z7, whom it may concern.-
Be it known that 1, WILLIAM A. HOLLAND, a citizen of the United States, residing at London, in the county of Madison and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Hedge-Trimming Knives, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
Figure l is a View in perspective of my newly-designed hedge-trimming knife, and Fig. 2 is a transverse section of the blade.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of my design consists in a double-edged cutting-blade a, which curves from its point of connection of its shank with a straight handle I), which is round in crosssection.
As shown more clearly in Fig. 2 of the drawings, the greatest thickness of the curved 20 blade is at the center of its Width, and from this central line the opposite faces of the blade are beveled toward the edges thereof.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters 2 5 name to this specification in the presence of 30 two subscribing witnesses.
WILLIAM A. HOLLAND.
