BERNARD JACQUART, OF SOUTH RIVER, NEW JERSEY.
DESIGN FOR A BRICK OR TILE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 34,285, data March 26, 1901.
Application filed February 26, 1901. Serial No. 49,005. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom, it may concern:
Be it known that I, BERNARD J ACQUART, a citiien of the United States, and a resident of South River, in the county of Middlesex and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Brick or Tile, of which the following is a specifioation.
The essential feature of my design consists in a brick or tile which presents a regular rectangular figure when viewed from the front, back, or either side and which presents an irregular polygonal figure when viewed from either end, the outlines of the said figure comprising a horizontal top line, flaring side lines, and an irregular bottom line forming' a tongue.
In the accompanying drawings, Figure 1 represents the brick or tile in back elevation. Fig. 2 is a view of one side of the brick or tile. Fig. 3 is a view of the other side of the brick or tile. Fig. 4 represents the brick or tile in front elevation, and Fig. 5 is an end view of the same.
The brick or tile is represented by A, and it is of such form that it presents a regular rectangular outline when viewed from the front, back, or either side. When viewed in end elevation,the brick or tile presents an irregular polygonal figure, in which the horizontal top line is denoted by a, the flaring side lines by b c, and the tongue formed by the irregular bottom line by d.
That I claim is The design for a brick or tile, substantially as shown and described.
